Three Key Questions Customers Asked at Interclean Shanghai 2026

From October 28 to 30, AOTINGBOTS showcased its cleaning solutions at Interclean Shanghai 2026.

Over the three-day exhibition, the SW55 A waterless cleaning robot performed continuous live demonstrations at our booth. We spoke with facility managers from shopping malls, hospitals, office buildings, industrial warehouses and other sectors.

Across these conversations, three questions came up repeatedly:

1.How effective is the cleaning performance?

2.Can the robot adapt to daily operations?

3.What value can it deliver after investment?

Beyond specifications and features, customers wanted to know one thing: Can cleaning robots solve real problems in real-world environments?

01. How Effective Is the Cleaning Performance?

"Can waterless cleaning really keep floors clean?"

This was one of the most frequently asked questions.

During live demonstrations, many visitors came closer to inspect the floor and see the cleaning results for themselves. For them, waterless cleaning is not just a different way of cleaning. What matters is whether it meets daily cleaning needs while reducing the extra workload associated with traditional wet cleaning.

In high-traffic areas such as hospitals and shopping malls, as well as industrial environments with moisture-control and dust-control requirements, wet floors, drying time and wastewater handling remain important operational concerns.

AOTINGBOTS waterless cleaning robots combine mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and dust pushing in one dry-cleaning solution. They clean floors without using water, helping reduce water residue and the additional work associated with wet cleaning.

For facility managers, cleaning performance is essential. But minimizing disruption to daily operations while keeping floors clean matters just as much. This is one of the key advantages of waterless cleaning in public spaces.

02. Can It Adapt to Daily Operations?

"Our building is busy during the day. How does the robot operate around people?"

This was another common question at the exhibition.

In busy environments such as shopping malls and hospitals, cleaning must be efficient without disrupting pedestrian traffic or daily activities. The ability to navigate dynamic environments and minimize interference with on-site operations is therefore essential.

At the exhibition, the SW55 A demonstrated several capabilities designed for real-world operations:

01Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance: Environmental sensing and path planning allow the robot to detect pedestrians and obstacles and adjust its route accordingly.

02Low-Noise Operation: With operating noise of no more than 65 dB, the robot offers greater flexibility for environments such as offices and healthcare facilities where noise levels matter.

03Flexible Scheduling: Cleaning tasks and operating hours can be configured to match site traffic patterns and operational needs.

A cleaning robot needs to do more than simply enter a facility and start working. It must adapt to the way the facility operates. Only when integrated into existing workflows can it deliver consistent, long-term value.

03. What Is the Return on Investment?

When it comes to purchasing equipment, the conversation eventually comes down to one practical question: What value will the investment deliver?

For facility managers, the value of a cleaning robot goes beyond the equipment itself. Cleaning efficiency, usage frequency, staffing requirements and ongoing maintenance costs all need to be considered.

How much can a cleaning robot actually help reduce operating costs?

In AOTINGBOTS' previous human-robot collaboration projects, optimized task allocation and staffing arrangements helped reduce operating costs by 23% and 19%, respectively.

Robots take care of repetitive, large-area floor cleaning, while cleaning staff focus on edges, stubborn stains, unexpected spills and other detailed tasks.

With a well-planned division of responsibilities, human-robot collaboration helps cleaning teams optimize workflows, maintain cleaning quality and improve overall operational efficiency.

Turning Cleaning Robots into Real Operational Value

From cleaning performance and operational adaptability to cost efficiency, the conversations at Interclean Shanghai all pointed to one central question:

How can cleaning robots become a practical part of daily operations, rather than simply demonstrating their capabilities?

At AOTINGBOTS, product value is not defined by technology and features alone. It is measured by how effectively our solutions address real customer needs and integrate into everyday operations across different environments.

Moving forward, we will continue to explore the potential of waterless cleaning technology and intelligent automation for commercial and industrial spaces, helping businesses achieve more efficient cleaning and smoother facility management.
