Aotingbots Waterless Cleaning Robot Enhances Safety and Efficiency at Danish Nursing Home

Copenhagen, Denmark — Renowned for its advanced eldercare system and stringent standards for living environments, Denmark has long been recognized as a global leader in senior care. Recently, Aotingbots successfully deployed its commercial waterless cleaning robot at a premium nursing home in Denmark, delivering a customized cleaning solution tailored to the unique operational needs of elderly care facilities through scheduled cleaning plans and human-robot collaboration.

A Nordic Senior Care Environment

Why Waterless Cleaning Matters

Maintaining cleanliness in nursing homes presents unique challenges. Complex indoor layouts, multiple floor types, and daily debris such as food crumbs, paper scraps, and hair embedded in carpets require consistent and efficient cleaning. Traditional wet-cleaning methods may leave slippery surfaces, while noisy equipment can disturb residents' daily activities and rest.

To address these challenges, Aotingbots leverages its proprietary waterless cleaning technology to provide a safer, quieter, and more efficient alternative. The solution eliminates wet-floor risks while maintaining high cleaning standards, helping the facility improve operational efficiency and environmental safety.

Customized Cleaning Strategy

Designed Around the Facility's Daily Routine

The deployed SW55 A is equipped with multi-sensor fusion navigation and centimeter-level obstacle avoidance, enabling it to safely navigate around residents, wheelchairs, caregivers, and indoor furnishings in real time.

Operating quietly throughout the day, the robot integrates sweeping, vacuuming, and dry floor wiping into a single autonomous workflow. Its long runtime supports extended operation with minimal human intervention, significantly reducing the workload of on-site staff.

Based on the facility's building layout, traffic patterns, and cleaning requirements, a customized zone-based and time-based cleaning schedule was developed:

1、Morning Full-Area Cleaning

First Floor

Cleaning Area: 120 m²

Cleaning Frequency: Twice daily

Focus: Main circulation routes and high-traffic pathways

Second Floor

Cleaning Area: 167 m²

Cleaning Frequency: Twice daily

Focus: Comprehensive removal of dust and daily debris throughout the floor

2、Midday Targeted Cleaning

To maintain cleanliness during peak daytime activity, the robot performs two additional cleaning cycles daily in the facility's main lobby area.

Lobby Area

Cleaning Area: 97 m²

Cleaning Frequency: Two additional cleaning cycles per day

From Cleaning Efficiency to Better Care

Supporting More Effective Facility Operations

After nearly three months of continuous operation, the Aotingbots waterless cleaning robot has become an integral part of the nursing home's daily cleaning system.

By combining autonomous operation with intelligent management, the robot effectively handles routine floor cleaning tasks while maintaining consistent cleanliness standards. This allows the facility to achieve safer, more efficient, and more sustainable operations while enabling staff to focus on higher-value care services.

Customer Testimonial

"Since introducing the robot, cleaning tasks can be scheduled in advance and completed automatically. The entire process requires no water, which means there are no wet floors or slip hazards. The system is very easy to operate, and our caregivers quickly learned how to use it. The most noticeable change is that cleaning pressure has been significantly reduced, allowing our team to spend more time caring for residents."

— Operations Director, Danish Nursing Home

Driving Innovation in Senior Care Environments

The successful deployment of Aotingbots at the Danish nursing home demonstrates the strong applicability of waterless cleaning technology in senior care environments. More importantly, it provides a practical pathway for nursing homes seeking to enhance safety, improve operational efficiency, and advance sustainable facility management through intelligent automation.
